Europa Universalis III is coming soon which is great news for anyone who has already played Europa Universalis II! I was put off by the Europa Universalis game and indeed all of the Paradox games when I first saw the graphics thinking this will be just like Axis and Allies. But it really wasn't, other than at a superficial level. Europa Universalis III promises to be a great game if it is better than EU2. Check back from time to time.
