Some quick notes about scenarios... SCENARIO PLAY BUG There is a bug which prevents custom user scenarios from launching properly when the People's General game is launched from the CD. Use Windows Explorer instead. SCENARIO/CAMPAIGN SUBMISSION To submit a scenario, please include the following files: Scenario.scn Scenario.ply Scenario_m.txt Scenario_u.txt Scenario_README.txt (include background, installation notes, your contact info, etc.) Keep the following in mind when creating a README file: 1>Make the scenario/campaign/program name self-descriptive. 2>Make the instructions more descriptive. Include your name, the release date, the version and your e-mail address. 3>Identify which games your scenario/campaign/program works with. 4>Put some information about why you have built this tool, and what it does that others don't or how it is different. 5>Put a web site URL (if possible) of where to get other tools or post feedback, etc. 6>Preface the scneario/campaign/program name with your initials and put a version number as well, perhaps. 7>Name the README.txt file with the same prefix as your program so that they stay together when sorted and don't get overwritten by other README files (e.g. MyProgram_README.txt). 8>Insert any FAQs in the README file, such as responses to 3,4 and 5 above. Also, whether you are submitting a scenario or a campaign or anything else, please include the following descriptive information for the PeG (http://www.peachmountain.com/5Star/peg) website: 1. Title (e.g. Falcon's Gambit) 2. Size (rounded to nearest 5 kb) 3. 15 character summary starting with the start year (e.g. 2001 Singapore) 4. Your first and last name (and pseudonym if you want) 5. Complexity (Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard) 6. 40 characters of notes (optional) 7. Additional downloads required (e-file, maps, etc.) SCENARIO INSTALLATION These are generic installation notes for scenarios. Unzip the contents of the .zip file that you are downloading to your USERSCEN folder. Read the "README" file. It may not be named "README", but should at least include "README" in the name of the .txt file. Open People's General and play. CAMPAIGN INSTALLATION These are generic installation notes for campaigns. Unzip the contents of the .zip file that you are downloading to your SCENARIO folder. Read the "README" file. It may not be named "README", but should at least include "README" in the name of the .txt file. Open People's General and play. THANK YOU! Thank you in advance for your contribution!!! Everyone really appreciates it!
